Despite the room being basic, small TV, small wardrobe, no iron etc, for £79 a night, no complaints here. It was clean and comfortable. Shower was powerful. Staff very friendly on check in and a decent breakfast for £12.50. For a budget hotel, very good value.
Basic Ibis needs a bit of a refresh but its clean and in a central location. Rooms are a good size with a good shower Breakfast is good and plenty of it. The porridge was excellent and staff were helpful and chatty. Nice to see hotel focused on environment. Nice check in and all you need to know explained. If back in Carlisle will book
We were 2 adults accompanied by 2 small dogs (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). We stayed 2 nights at Ibis Carlisle, our first stay there. We paid just £148 including the dogs, a real bargain. We had a small but well equipped double room overlooking Botchergate, one of the main roads leading to the nearby city centre. Based on some reviews we were prepared for traffic noise, and also some noisy pub / club customers outside: no problems, but I guess Monday and Tuesday nights in late October are much quieter than at many other times of the year. Would we stay at Ibis Carlisle again? Definitely, and we would encourage others to do the same.
Really nice room for the price. Although our door was missing the peep hole glass. But nothing a coat couldn’t cover. We faced the nightclub and even with windows open we couldn’t here the noice. Check in was easy. Breakfast was very decent to. I just want to make a special mention to the guy working the counter this morning at 9am. (12.10.25). I have epilepsy and had a bit of an episode this morning. Leading to me falling over and making a mess. He didn’t laugh or anything. He helped me up and cleaned my mess up for me. Now this was a big thing for me as its quite embarrassing when things like this happen to me but the way he acted has put my faith back in people. So really thank you so much and i hope management pass this on to you.
Such a nice place. As always, it is the people that make it better. Degmara at the desk, Karen in the kitchen, Jovial Jill, and Theo the historian. Breakfasts are top-notch.
The Receptionist, KingA was supportive and helpful. Easy check-in. The road in front of the hotel was closed at 9pm without warning, very bad as I was disoriented. Thanks to the police and the receptionist who directed me. The buffet was not worth £12.50, it was shaby
Dagmara & gill are amazing reception staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. Location is good, central nearby shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions. I and my husband really have a good time here. Highly recommend
We were very happy with the room, the location and the friendly service. We broke our journey on our way to Scotland to see our grandchildren. In the past we have used hotels on the motorway. They are usually quite a bit more expensive, and many times we have been very disappointed with the experience. We will be back to Ibis in Carlisle!
